Tattoo Removal
A considered approach to change. Personalised care at every stage.
Whether your tattoo no longer reflects your style or you would like to explore fading it for a future cover-up, DermaSkinUK offers a discreet, supportive approach to laser tattoo removal. We take time to understand your goals and explain what may be achievable.
Laser tattoo removal uses short pulses of light to break tattoo ink into smaller particles, which the body gradually clears. Fading develops between appointments, with multiple sessions usually needed.
Your complimentary consultation includes an assessment of your tattoo’s colours, size, location and ink density, alongside your skin tone, medical history and any existing scarring. Different colours respond to different laser wavelengths, so we will explain which inks our equipment can treat and whether a test patch is appropriate.
Your plan may focus on:
Reducing the visibility of an unwanted tattoo.
Fading existing ink in preparation for a cover-up.
Working towards removal where the ink and skin response allow.
During treatment, appropriate protective eyewear is provided and the laser is passed across the agreed area. The sensation can feel like hot, sharp snaps against the skin. We will discuss comfort measures beforehand.
Redness, swelling, tenderness, blistering or crusting may follow. You will receive clear guidance on caring for the area, protecting it from sunlight and allowing it to heal without picking or scratching. Possible complications include burns, infection, scarring and lasting changes in skin colour or texture.
Treatment requires patience. Appointments are spaced to allow healing and ink clearance, and we review progress throughout your course. Complete removal cannot be guaranteed; some colours may resist treatment or leave a residual shadow.
At DermaSkinUK, our priority is to help you make an informed choice, with attentive care and realistic expectations from your first conversation onwards.
