Semi Permanent MakeUp

Thoughtful definition. Beautifully personal.

Semi permanent makeup offers a lasting way to enhance your features and simplify your daily beauty routine. At DermaSkinUK, our approach centres on carefully considered shape, colour and balance, creating an enhancement that complements your face and reflects your personal style.

Also known as micropigmentation, this treatment places small amounts of pigment into the skin using fine needles. Depending on the treatment selected, it can create the appearance of fuller brows, add definition around the eyes or enhance the natural colour and outline of the lips.

The benefits can include:

  • Greater definition for features that appear sparse or less distinct.

  • A more consistent makeup appearance with less daily application.

  • Shape and colour chosen to complement your complexion.

  • Added convenience for those who find applying makeup difficult.

Your experience begins with a complimentary consultation. We discuss your preferred look, assess your skin and review your medical history, allergies and any existing cosmetic tattooing. Your proposed shape and colour are carefully planned and agreed with you before treatment begins, with time to ask questions and feel comfortable with your choices.

During treatment, pigment is gradually applied to build the chosen effect. Sensitivity varies between individuals and treatment areas, and we will explain the comfort measures available. Afterwards, the colour typically appears stronger before softening as the skin heals. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness and light flaking may occur, and the final result should be assessed once healing is complete.

You will receive clear aftercare instructions, including how to care for the area and when to resume makeup and other activities. A follow-up appointment may be recommended to assess pigment retention and refine the result. Potential risks include infection, allergic reactions, scarring and uneven pigment or colour changes.

Although described as semi permanent, this is a form of cosmetic tattooing. Pigment fades at different rates and may remain visible indefinitely; complete fading cannot be promised. Future colour refreshments may be appropriate, and removal can be difficult.
